SAIL CLEANING
Inspection
Sails should be inspected every year and generally best in the fall than in the spring. If you inspect on
your own, do it on a lawn that is free of debris and cut grass. Take your shoes off if you walk on the sail.
Check the stitching on every seam particularly in the leech and in places that come in contact with the
shrouds. Make sure you turn the sail over and check the other side.

Cleaning
Our  cleaning price is based on a per square foot calculation that takes into account the material,
condition and required soaking and cleaning times.  Sail washing will not always remove all oil, grease,
rust, blood, or mildew. To our knowledge there is no process that will remove all  stains that also will not
harm certain sail fabrics.

When you bring your sails in please tell us if the sails are wet. We will either wash them right away or dry
them. We can't be responsible for sails brought in wet. Sails weighing over 100 pounds will need special
attention and arrangements need to be made to accommodate these larger sizes.

Storage
We do not store sails at this time. We will notify you when your sail is cleaned and dry and ready for you.
To store your sails at home the most important thing to remember is that small animals, like mice and
squirrels, would love to find a home for the winter. Some people will put moth balls in the bag. Hanging
the sail in a closet is probably the safest place to store sails.

Payment
50% of the price is due upon drop off or pick up and the remainder is due upon pick up or delivery.
